National Federation of Democratic Women

The National Federation of Democratic Women was formed in October, 1971,
when 27 women gathered at breakfast during the Democratic Women’s
Leadership Conference at the Capitol Hilton in Washington, D.C.
In 1977,
the Federation gained recognition from the Democratic National Committee
as the offical women’s organization and received a seat on the
DNC Executive Committee and three seats on the DNC.

Kansas Federation of Women’s Democratic Clubs

The KFWDC is an organization for Kansas Women Democrats and is a subsidiary of NFDW,
There are local clubs throughout the state, including JCDW. Check out their Facebook page!

Democratic National Committee

Rich regionally, racially and economically, the Democratic Party finds strength and opportunity
in its diverse religious, ethnic, class and sexual orientations. The roots of our party run back
to the founding fathers, the suffragists, the civil rights workers and the peace activists.

The JoCoDems do an outstanding job electing Democratic candidates to office, fostering the principles of the Democratic Party in our community and building a positive identity. They meet monthly for breakfast to hear Party news and share information with other groups in the 3rd District.
