JCDW – Thursday, April 17th at Black Bear Diner ((11981 S Strang Line Rd, Olathe, KS 66062) )

  • Join us to socialize and learn more about self-care with Devi Wetterer!

“Thank you to Bev Reeves-Dudly, last month’s presenter, who led us through Women’s History from the 1800’s to today – we’ve made great strides, and have a long (longer now) way to go.  Keep it up!!” – Cassie Woolworth, President JCDW

Join us in April to continue to participate in self care

Continuing our year of self-care, this month we are hosting Devi Wetterer, founder of Sacred Residency and Wild Nature Women’s Circle.  Devi will discuss the art of  InterPlay with a passion for leadership in self-expression, creativity, spiritual development and inner awareness. She will then lead us in guided meditation.

“My prayer is that each of us fully embody our divinity while constituting an intimate partnership with our soul, our body, with nature and life itself.” – Devi

Game night was a huge success!!

JCDW’s annual winter fundraiser, Game Night, was our best one yet. Fun was had by all who participated, and it was good to have a reason to laugh.

Even better, the event raised over $1300! Shout out to Juliet, our VP of fundraising, for putting together such a fun night!

Mark your calendars – Join Us for a Powerful Gathering of Women Democrats on April 26th, in Salina, Kansas. We’ll hear from Jess Piper about what it takes to win in Rural Spaces. Together, we’ll discuss solutions to build stronger support networks, and amplify the voices of women leading change in our state. Let’s celebrate the energy, passion, and leadership that drive the Democratic Party forward.  $99 for members, $114 for non-members, includes full day and all meals.

***A special thanks to our new communications chair, Tracy Styer, for leading us in Chair Yoga.  Getting older is not for the faint-of-heart but she made staying in shape that much easier.  I really appreciate the ‘low-impact’ aspect.  It was WONDERFUL!!***
