We have a long road ahead with tRUMP in power. Democracy is in Peril but not finished. We are going to be the ones with many others who will stand up to this would be fascist, and protect our Democracy. Fascists want us to give up and feel helpless. We are not going to do that.

JOCO is a caring community of people who have already contributed to fighting for justice. WE ALL HAVE A ROLL. Remember all that we did accomplish. We want to keep building our collective power over the next few years – we need to harness our enormous energy over the next 4 years.

There are four ‘tracks’ for participation. Each track will develop committees to alert us to any issues so we can respond immediately – whether that is calling, writing or showing up – pick a track that you are passionate about.
- PROTECT PEOPLE: harm reduction. Protect targeted people
- DEFEND CIVIC INSTITUTUIONS: safeguard democratic institutions (elections, EPA, FDA)
We need overwhelming public pushback. Need many actors from our state government, corporations & faith groups. They need to help us hold the red lines. We will have future elections. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Fascists want to squash HOPE
- DISRUPT & DISOBEY: Strategize acts to support
Disobedience & Protest policy. Goes beyond protesting. Intervening to stop bad policies or showing resistance. Some will be fierce and in your face others will be quiet strikes and work slowdowns. Two ways to remove a dictator by voting him out or mass nonviolent noncooperation by people to force them. New wing of the second strategy.
- BUILD ALTERNATIVE: parallel institutions, alternative party platforms, new culture-building.
Have to build our own political power for better. Working locally to transform power in your own community. Get likeminded people to run for office. Not just reacting but some must focus on a new path.
