Join us to socialize, plan, and organize – we have School Boards, City Council and Mayor races, as well as Water One and JCCC boards up this year and we need to STAND UP, TALK BACK.

This month we’re talking about what it takes to run for office: in 2025, we need to elect members of school boards, city councils, Water One, JCCC, and more! These local elections are critical to our thriving democracy and can be where some of the most impactful governing is done. Former Representative Allison Hougland will share lessons learned from the campaign trail and advice on how to run for office. She’ll be joined by her campaign manager, Christine Morgan, to speak to the kind of support our candidates need.

Our mission is to empower women to run for office and to support the election of like-minded Democrats to state and local office. We do this through education and training, but especially through donations to qualified candidates. Your financial donation to either of our organizations will go directly to Democratic candidates running in Johnson County.
