North ZOOM Meeting
Thursday April 6, 2023
Come at 6:00 to socialize or at 6:30 for the meeting.
This meeting is hybrid. Either join us at the JoCo Dems office or on Zoom.
To celebrate April’s Earth Day, Dawn Olney will put on another hat and talk to us about things we can do in our yards to help the environment, particularly birds and pollinators. Dawn is the Program coordinator for JCDW North, is a Democratic Precinct Committeewoman, and recently completed courses in the Johnson County K- State Extension Master Naturalist program. She has become interested in plants, birds, and pollinators. In addition to working to elect representatives who understand environmental issues and policies, there is a lot we can do personally to improve the environment. Some of them are super simple.
We meet in person at the Democratic office and on Zoom.
South ZOOM Meeting
Thursday April 20, 2023
Come at 6:00 to socialize or at 6:30 for the meeting.
Update from Cassie Woolworth, JCDW South President
We had a good turnout for Eden Village and got to see photos and construction shots of the tiny houses. The last was purchased a few years ago, so now they are raising money to finish the housing on the property at 10th and Minnesota in KC. The spotlight on homelessness these last few years has been helpful but, as always, there is a vast need and only a few willing to help.

About Us
Johnson County Democratic Women North and South are part of the Kansas Federation of Democratic Women, which is part of the National Federation of Democratic Women.
Our mission is to empower women to run for office and to support the election of like-minded Democrats to state and local office. We do this through education and training, but especially through donations to qualified candidates. Your financial donation to either of our organizations will go directly to Democratic candidates running in Johnson County.
